Summer 2012 – Part Une

After a 2 year hiatus, we’re finally camping again.

I’m not sure I’d really call the camping that was done in 2010 as camping though – more like a trial run. And it worked; for in 2011 we did NOT tent camp – but splurged on the “luxury” of a yurt.
This year, I wanted to get back into the swing of things.

But alas, alack – we don’t have up-to-date paperwork to leave and re-enter Canada. We are still legal – but his and her passports have expired. And there’s a matter of mine and his PR cards.

Dang.

So we had to look at camping within Canada. Within Ontario, and more specifically, within a 3 hour radius of home.

I also wanted a small site – a private site – one with access to water – and shade – and privacy – and less than $20 a night (because we used to pay $15 a night in the States, on average).

… and I can tell you – my search stopped there.

No sites found.
