Campsite Review – Finger Lakes, NYS

I seem to spend a lot of time dissing poor Ontario campsites… and I’m sure it’s because we’ve been spoiled.

One of the first campsites that we ever went to was … wait… do I want to share the name? Perhaps I should keep it a wee secret. Do I want my peace and quiet spoiled? 😉

Well… here’s a photo of the campsite:

And that’s the least private site that we’re stayed on. See that through the trees? That’s Seneca Lake.

There are 2 or 3 so private? You can’t even SEE other campers. That site? We’ve camped in, and although you’re not isolated – you’re a large enough distance away from the direct neighbours that it feels like it’s private.

… and the campsite as a whole? Blissful.
Lovely and quiet.

No games, no pool… we don’t need or want any of that.

There’s 25 RV spots, and 15 tents spots.

… there’s an ice machine, firewood, a toilet block with showers, and two little beaches.

We LOVE this site, and we hold it as the benchmark for all other sites.

And don’t get me started on the area – LOVE!!!! the Finger Lakes.
A gazillion state parks to visit and hike in. Waterfalls up the wazoo!!! Wineries!!!

I miss it.
